As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 15,032 people, 5,591 households, and 4,014 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,240.9/km (5,800.5/mi). There were 5,688 housing units at an average density of 847.9/km (2,194.9/mi). The racial makeup of the CDP was 72.86% White, 5.93% African American, 0.11% Native American, 16.11% Asian, 2.71% from other races, and 2.29% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 9.23% of the population.

There were 5,591 households out of which 31.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.7% were married couples living together, 10.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.2% were non-families. 23.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
